Inmaculada Failde Martinez

Graduated in Medicine from the University of Cadiz in 1981 and received her PhD from the same in 1991. Specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Puerta del Mar University Hospital. Cadiz. Master in Public Health from the University of Puerto Rico. USA. And with a Diploma in Public Health. Faculté de Medicine Broussais-Hôtel Dieu.University Paris V.

She works as a Professor and lecturer at the University of Cadiz. She has completed several international stays in various hospitals in France (Pitié-Salpetrier Hospital in Paris; Central Epidemiology Service. Assistance Publique Hôpitaux in Paris. Unité de Recherche Clinique et Epidemiologie (INSER-U21) in Paris).

She has been Principal Investigator (PI) of national and regional projects funded by public bodies and has participated in other national and regional projects as a collaborating researcher. She is Principal Investigator of the CTS-991 Research Group on Social and Clinical Epidemiology (Andalusian Research Plan. Junta de Andalucia) and of the consolidated group (IN-CO-13) of the Research and Innovation Institute of Cadiz. (INIBiCA). She is a researcher in the Spanish Network of Childhood Pain of the Ministry of Economy. She has directed 7 Doctoral Theses,

She has been the author of 89 publications 63 published articles indexed in JCR . Her works published in recent years have been related to the clinical and social epidemiology of chronic non-oncological pain, and are the result of different projects funded by public bodies. Her H index is 18 in the WOS.

For 9 years she has directed the Pain Observatory created by virtue of a collaboration agreement between the University of Cadiz, the Spanish Pain Foundation and the Grünenthal Foundation with a fundraising of more than 300,000 euros in the last 5 years. She has directed 5 research fellows during this period and has participated in different groups and experts related to the epidemiology of pain.

She is a regular evaluator for ANEP, FIS, the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development (ZonMW), the Women's Institute of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, the Progreso y Salud Foundation and AVAP.
