Antonio Collado Cruz

Graduate in Medicine and Surgery. Specialist in Rheumatology and PhD in Medicine from the University of Barcelona with Cum Lauden and Extraordinary Award. Diploma and Master in Hospital Management from the University of Barcelona. His professional experience has focused on Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia, being promoter of the development of the Chronic Pain Unit of the Rheumatology Service of the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona since 1998 and Coordinator of the Multidisciplinary Unit for the Study and Treatment of Fibromyalgia at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona since 2001. He is Director of the Multidisciplinary Center for the Treatment of Pain Barnadolor since 2013. He has participated in multiple scientific consultancies for the development of Health Plans for the Care and Treatment of patients with Fibromyalgia, with Public Institutions such as: Department of Health. Generalitat de Catalunya. Ministry of Health, Social Policies and Equality of Spain. Health Department of the Balearic Islands. Health Department of the Autonomous Community of Madrid. Agency for Information, Evaluation and Quality in Health. Department of Health. Generalitat de Catalunya. Ministry of Science and Innovation. Spain. National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective. Area of ​​Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology. Review of Research Projects and the FF Foundation for People Affected by Fibromyalgia and CFS.

His teaching activity has been developed in various forums related to Universities, Scientific Societies, Academies, Professional Colleges, Health Institutions and Patient Associations with 185 presentations. He has participated as a professor in different Postgraduate Courses and Masters in different Universities (Univ. Pais Basque, Univ. Valencia, Univ. Gran Canarias, Univ. Illes Balears) and has directed seven editions of the Online Course Fibrodolor (www.fibrodolor.org) FF Foundation aimed at Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain, as well as other Virtual Classrooms on Musculoskeletal Pain and Peripheral Neuropathic Pain.

He belongs to various Scientific Societies such as the Catalan and Spanish Rheumatology Societies since 1987, to the Spanish Pain Society (Integrated in the International Association for the Study of Pain, IASP) since 1989, and is a Founding Member of the Catalan Pain Society. Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Foundation for those affected by Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since 2003. President and Founding Member of the Spanish Society of Fibromyalgia Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (SEFIFAC) since 2017. Founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Multidisciplinary Pain Society 2020. Founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Women and Pain platform 2021.

Main Line of Research in Fibromyalgia, being Author of more than 108 original articles in scientific journals with a Global Impact factor of 256.54.
